This surprises me a bit. I had a new LCPii in 22lr that went back 3 times with major reliability issues. They decided to replace it but I haven’t been to my FFL’s place yet to pickup the replacement so I don’t know if the replacement will be any good or not.

All 3 times to and from Ruger they paid 2nd day air shipping. Hard to make money that way. Their quality control has some serious issues. 3 of the last 5 Rugers I bought have been nothing short of junk!

Totally agree that it is expensive to give the level of support to customers that Ruger offers. I haven’t had the quality issues that you’ve experienced. My 10/22 is by far my most reliable & accurate semiauto rimfire rifle. I really like my sr9 (to be fair, i’ve done a bunch of work to it but only to improve function, not to fix inability to function correctly) because it is quite reliable and one of the easiest to shoot 9mm polymer guns I own. My redhawk is the clear leader of my long barreled revolvers. I don’t think that Ruger is the greatest gunmaker in the world, but they put out pretty solid middle of the road guns and provide excellent support. For the non-enthusiast owner, they make a lot of very desirable and useful guns.
