all you need to do is become a card carrying member of Black Lives Matter, antifa or the Democratic national committee and you will get a free pass…Just be very lousy at practicing it..

While I have to agree with Joe, that this scarcity feels arbitrarily contrived, I finally got my box of pistol primers, and now only need powder. Though that, more places have. And projectiles; I have cheap lead-cast 38spc that will go down the 9mm barrel but come out ‘sized’ by three thousandths, so … I might want different projectiles.

I love reloading my ammo but since I moved last year I haven’t set up my press yet so that’s a hindrance. I have 1500 5.45 rounds but that gun hasn’t been assembled, though I have all the parts. I have nearly as much 7.62×39 but that gun is barely 5moa, though for defensive purposes that should prove adequate. The grendel, my pride and joy that I’ve never shot? maybe four dozen rounds across three brands.

None of the poll options adequately describe the odd mishmash of ammo and parts I have strewn throughout the house. That isn’t uncommon as I’ve always been an outlier, but I thought I’d comment here on how it is here.

“Ammo” isn’t the only problem. Components are. The choke-down on the market’s supplies seems somewhat contrived, but at the very least shows the overall weakness in the current U.S. supply chains of the average U.S. consumer, as well as many small-market U.S. ATF licensed OEM ammunition manufacturers.

There’s going to be new offerings that spring from this dearth. Some are working on becoming new primer manufacturers as I type this.

I think it wise to conserve ammo,
America is coming apart at the seams. Biden could send troops to take our guns. The court would not stop him.

I saw this seditious attack against American gunowners coming ten years ago. Acted accordingly.

One suggestion….a shooter can still find 7.62 Soviet online and in stock. Certainly one will pay more than one year ago. It is still less by half, expensive than 5.56.

    Better late than never.

I’ve got all my guns covered and quite a lot of back-stock, but with the future (in my opinion) extremely uncertain regarding prices and availability, especially in terms of upcoming anti-gun legislation from the (D) controlled exec & legislative** branches, I am holding on to what I have, except maybe spending 20 rounds here or there to zero a couple rifles due to a new optic & switching some of them around.

Other. I have enough for all my firearms (plus ammo for guns I don’t have) that I really need to update my inventory spreadsheet.

LOL. So I’m not the only one who maintains an inventory spreadsheet. I have so much, in so many calibers, I need to keep track of it all.

I have so much that I sent my Brother in Georgia over 600 rounds of .22LR and 60 rounds of TulAmmo .223 I didn’t want.
I have 2 ammo boxes full of Win 308, 2 full of .223 and 5.56, 1 full of 9mm., 1 full of 300BLK and many plastic deli containers full of the same and other calibers. Lots of 30-06 ball and API, 303 British and 458 SOCOM.
Too bad I can’t link to a photo.

I need .22LR. I’ve decided that I will train only with that for a while and conserve the rest. Gives me a good excuse to buy more guns in .22 but the ammo is still just as scarce as everything else. More affordable, but scarce.

I forgot to mention I load my own ammo except for the .22.
I still a brick of M-22 and some loose rounds of Auto Match and 100 CCI Mini Mag. I have 200 Hornady 30 Cal .308″ 168gr. BTHP being delivered today. Loading for 300BLK for which I have the most brass, any leftover will go for 308Win.
