So, by claiming that to protect the masses from mass shootings by allowing LEO’s and retired LEO’s exceptions to their law, wouldn’t that be creating a Liability for protection of all citizens in that state? Essentially, mandating and endorsing that if not “protected” by the State, they are liable to be sued for any failure on their part to “save” anyone from any act of violence or death that may have been averted had the “victim(s)” not had their 2nd amendment rights “infringed”? Assuming the “responsibility ” on the state’s part, can be “expensive” once the lawsuits start rolling in. I.E. (A million dollar payout for a coffee burn from McDonalds coffee…. Imagine a wrongful death suit against the state of New Jersey for not protecting everyone…..
So some are more equal than others.
Make an exception for LEOs and retired LEOs.
