Muzzle energy never killed nobody (except Jon-Erik Hexum) and is next to useless in determining the effectiveness of a cartridge (but don’t advertisers love it though?). To base your pronouncement of effectiveness of a cartridge entirely on velocity numbers registered on a $100 chronograph and how spectacularly a jug of water reacts to its impact is ludicrous.
Not that I’m arguing a .22WMR is as effective as a 5.7x28mm, just that there’s nothing credible either way in this “analysis” either way.
