CMMG has taken the AK/AR platform thinking just a little bit further than we’ve seen recently. Rather than a 7.62x39mm upper that sits on a standard AR-15 lower and takes x39 AK USGI style magazines, the new CMMG Mk47 Mutant has a modified upper with a beefier bolt face and a lower that will accept standard AK-47 style magazines using an AK style hook and latch system.
