SARASOTA – After a long absence, Sarasota once again has its own weekly “practical” shooting matches.

And these pistoleers can shoot! The Tampa Bay Suncoast Pistol Club has started holding matches Monday evenings at the Take Aim Gun Range, 1865 61st St., Sarasota. The range opens at 6 p.m. for warm-ups. The matches start at 7 p.m. and usually wrap up by 10 p.m.

Cost is $20 per shooter, of which $5 goes to the club to cover targets, and $15 goes to the range, which includes …read more
