Fighting Bureaucratic Overreach: Language Matters

If you’re a gun owner, you are probably aware of the recent attempt by the ATF to effectively ban the very popular M885 ammunition (“SS-109” in the NATO world), most commonly used in AR-type rifles. Interestingly, the ATF has recently told gun owners not to worry, claiming that the removal of “green tip” ammo from the exempted list was merely a “publishing mistake.” Sure it was. Just like it was a “technical glitch” that deleted potentially incriminating IRS emails.
