All photos courtesy Alex Sarnowski Gene Pitts, president and rangemaster at the Manatee Gun and Archery Club just can’t say ‘no.’ I got a call from Chet Sarnowski, who had just purchased a very expensive cannon for his son Alex, and had no where to shoot the six-pounder, until he spoke to Gene who told him to bring it out to the range. Once he saw the beautiful brass tube, Gene immediately approved it for firing on the club’s 1,000 range. Alex is planning a more public demo this weekend at the club.
