According to a press release sent to News 5, the officer’s former boyfriend arrived at her home around 1:00am and forcefully attempted to get in. While police officers were en route to the scene, the ex-boyfriend broke down the door and got inside.As stated in the press release, the off-duty officer — stated as this case’s victim — fired several shots at her ex-boyfriend, with one bullet injuring his leg.
