Vista Outdoor Emerges as Biggest Outdoor Products Company
A major development in shooting and hunting business occurred two days ago (February 9) when Vista Outdoor Inc., completed a “spin-off” from its former corporate parent Alliant Techsystems (ATK). Under the leadership of former ATK CEO Mark DeYoung, Vista now owns some 30 outdoor brands that formerly comprised the ATK Sporting Group including such well-known firms as Federal Cartridge, Savage Arms, Bushnell, Blackhawk, Primos, RCBS, Outers, Gold Tip Arrows and Champion Target.
