If you are have an AR pistol, are building one or just considering it, the buffer tube leaves required by the AR design leaves you with several options. Some companies offer a plain tube, some have a foam pad on them like the Phase 5 tube I originally used, some people have opted to use the Sig SB15 brace on a standard carbine buffer tube, and then there is the Thorsden Customs buffer tube cover available in a builders package.
