On Tuesday, Gov. Peter Shumlin said in a press conference, that he sees no need for new gun laws. Saying “The current laws that Vermont has in place around guns serve us well,” which is a very good sign. Makes you wonder how much funding anti-gun groups feel like spending in Vermont. Vermont citizens are also facing the Burlington charter changes, that would create a patchwork of conflicting gun laws, across the state. Dozens of gun-rights supporters traveled from across the state despite the snow to oppose a bill that would tighten background checks on private gun sales.
