“In this particular incidence, the homeowner was acting in self-defense.” Raleigh County Sheriff Steve Tanner said his office will not release the name of the homeowner or the family she protected. “They’re really good people,” Tanner said. “They’re traumatized by what happened. “The last thing we want to do is point out their house or point them out.
