The “pancake” style holster has been around for many years. I have one that I got in trade around 1981 that fit a large number of K-frame Smith & Wesson revolvers without modification or adjustment. If you are not familiar with this holster type, the term “pancake” refers to a belt slide holster made of two similar sized pieces of rounded leather sewn together to form a pocket for the gun.
