DALLAS, TX – Early Wednesday morning, a burglary suspect learned a harsh lesson about breaking into homes when he was shot by an occupant of a residence in far southwest Dallas.

The incident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 7100 block of Nutmeg Lane, near the Cedar Ridge Preserve and close to Duncanville, DeSoto, and Cedar Hill. As reported by local news , the suspect broke into the home where people were present. In response, someone inside the home fired at the intruder.
