Charter Arms 9mm Pitbull Revolver: Good Concept, But…

Revolvers that chamber rimless pistol cartridges instead of rimmed revolver cartridges are nothing new. As far back as WWI, both Smith & Wesson and Colt had their large-frame six-shot revolvers, which had been available in the rimmed .45 Colt caliber, re-chambered to .45 ACP. This was done because there were not enough 1911 .45 Automatic pistols available to issue to troops. Revolvers were provided when there were not enough 1911s to go around.
