Range safety officers, according to the National Rifle Association, are folks who “possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.”
It’s a heady responsibility. The job requires both maturity and firearms skills. RSOs have the final say on all matters of range safety.
