Federal Court Hears Arguments On Maryland’s Gun Ban

The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, will hear arguments on whether Maryland’s ban on so called “assault weapons” and standard capacity magazines, is constitutional. Maryland state gun prohibitionists, are arguing that banning a whole class of firearms, is constitutional. Did they forget about the Heller decision?
The law bans 45 assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Maryland lawmakers approved the sweeping legislation in 2013 in response to the December 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. …read more
