Arlington, VA – On the left side of the screen, you can see the armored vehicle approaching the house to serve the warrant when the house explodes. The only information available is the PD’s following statement:

“POLICE ACTIVITY: ACPD is in the 800 block of N. Burlington Street investigating a suspect who has discharged a flare gun from his residence. Expect continued police activity and avoid the area.

UPDATE: As officers were attempting to execute a search warrant at the residence, the suspect discharged several rounds inside the home. Subsequently, an explosion occurred at the residence, and officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the explosion.”

You can see an armored vehicle approaching the house on the left, right before the explosion, and the PD is reporting there were only “minor injuries with no one transported to the hospital.”

There was no clarification as to whether there were no officers hurt or if it included the subject, but I don’t see how they could have searched the house for anyone in the short period between the explosion and the statement release.

That must have been one heck of a flare gun!
