Kansas And Missouri Lawmakers Push New Gun Controls

Using California as an example, lawmakers from Kansas and Missouri, are pushing a new gun law. The new legislation would allow “any person” to file a restraining order that removes a person’s right to posses a firearm. Rep. Rick Brattin, a Harrisonville Republican, said the bill is unlikely to get a hearing. He said that because the bill allows “any person” to file a petition for a gun violence restraining order, it could be used to harass law-abiding gun owners.
