LANSING, Mich. (AP) – The reported cost of concealed carry gun permits to Michigan taxpayers varies widely in each county, with a high of $214 and a low near $3.
An analysis of county data shows estimated taxpayer charges are inconsistent across the state even though Michigan gun carriers pay a flat $105 fee for a concealed permit. Muskegon County says taxpayers pay nearly $26 to process each permit. Neighboring Newaygo County says it’s $103.
