Philadelphia Fights New Gun Law On State Preemption

At philly.com Richie Feder of the Philadelphia Solicitor’s Office, thinks that the city will be successful, against Pennsylvania’s new stronger preemption law. That broadens the right of citizens, to sue over a local patchwork of gun laws, that override state law. “We don’t want the NRA to be able to point to a bunch of obsolete ordinances and suggest that City Council isn’t thoughtful in its approach to gun legislation,” said Richie Feder of the city Solicitor’s Office.
