I really can’t figure out Suncoast Gun Show’s business model. The Ohio-based promoter, which according to its website hosts shows in Tampa, Palmetto, Lakeland, Fort Pierce, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers, has made some strange and inexplicable decisions. About a year ago, I wrote a story on how they were threatening to ban dealers if they attended another promoter’s gun show. In October, I wrote another story that revealed the promoter had issued a new policy forbidding dealers from selling their wares “at a show in a city/metropolitan area 30 days or less prior to a Suncoast show in that same area.”
