I like to think I have a bit of smarts. I mean, I’ve seen some things; remembered some lessons hard-learned and generally tried really hard not to make the same mistake twice. But even with a few years under my belt, there are still some things I don’t understand. Denial is Not Just a River in Egypt I understand people’s dislike of violence. I understand that some people are unwilling or unable to mentally come to grips with the concept of self-defense. What I can’t understand is why people embrace such denial so vehemently.
