Winchester Ammunition is offering some extra grain — woodgrain, that is — with their 230-grain .45 Auto ammo. The company has announced it will release a special wooden collector’s box containing 200 rounds of its Win1911 .45 Auto ammunition, designed specifically for 1911-style pistols.
The Winchester wood box will contain either 230-grain jacketed-hollowpoint (JHP) or 230-grain full metal jacket (FMJ) bullets. It has an overall weight of 11 pounds, and measures 2.5 x 7.5 x 13.4 inches.
